Retailer's Spotlight: Scrapapple!

This week the Scrapware spotlight is on Scrapapple!

Scrapapple started in Feb ’06 and has been owned by Louisa, Angela and Stacey since August 2008. We three crazy ladies had delighted in our scrapbooking obsession for around 8 years and had been regular customers of Scrapapple before we purchased it. We loved the ease of the website, the friendliness of the owners and the free gift with every purchase – these are things we’ve tried to bring forward in our ownership of the business. We’re having a wonderful time and never stop laughing; if we ever do stop I think it’ll be time for us to move on.

It’s important to us that our customers feel appreciated and many of them have become friends through crops and classes, comments shared through our blog or achievements, inspiration and frustrations shared during late night conversations on our forum.

As well as scrapbooking and card making we love a good ‘Off the Page’ project and Scrapware is our ‘go to’ brand for all things chipboard. We try to support Australian designers and manufacturers as much as possible, Scrapware is a great example of a company that satisfies both these ideals.

Project - 3D Butterfly

CH309 3D Butterfly Large

Recreate this butterfly yourself...here's how:

• Cover the base in patterned paper (Websters Pages have been used for this project)
• Paint the wings white and set aside to dry
• Stamp a flourish using stazon ink onto acetate
• Attach acetate to the wings and cut out
• Paint over the the edges of the acetate with white paint and crackle with rock candy. Also applied the rock candy on the front of the wings as well.
• Finish off with brown ink.

The Circle Journal Strip has been painted, then dimensional magic has been added with white ink dabbed along random edges. Pattern papers used Rouge de Garance. Stemmed flowers, charms and rhinestone circles from my2angels.

We love how Tracy added the Wisteria Lane Houses to the Memory Box to create extra dimension.  The chipboard pieces have been covered in patterned papers and inked.  The Naomi flourish has been inked and coated in glitter.
