Fun with Frames

Kim here waving hi from beautiful sunny Brisbane this week as we have fun with frames.
I would like to start off with my layout...JOURNEY featuring my youngest son Larsen. I thought the photo needed a vintage feel so I grabbed one of the new Nadine frames in medium CH380 and then randomly covered it with PVA glue and layed a vintage book page over it. When it was dry I tore off some of the paper to leave a distressed feel. I then inked the edge of the frame with brown chalk ink.
I also used one of the mini crowns found here M107 and a photo corner decorative PCo2 here, I inked them, again with brown chalk ink and snuggled them in and around the flowers.
Next up is a bright and fun page from Taryn, titled YOU MAKE ME LAUGH.

The chipboard frames, flowers, hearts and words were all painted with acrylic paint, rubons were added and then doodling with a white pen finished them off nicely. The items used were CH324 Antique mini frames CH281 Blooms small HSO5 Primitive Hearts WT09 Laugh JB02 date set

Another bright and fun layout from Gina titled SNOW CONE utilizes more Antique mini frames CH324 which were also painted in acrylic paint and a tiny standing bird CH248 which was generously sprayed with glimmer mist then perched nicely on top of the frame.

Finally for today we have Natalie's divine co-ordinating birthday items for her mum's 60th birthday. Heres how Natalie described her process...
The easel cards are so easy to make and so effective, I have used the brand new frame and embossed it with zing embossing powder. I also used AZ08 Antique lower case Alphas which I inked with chalk ink then glimmermisted. I created a book for all of mums friends to write in, this book was also designed around the new gorgeous frame, I painted on various shades of blue glimmermist then gave it a coat of crackle paint before adding an embossed sheet of acetate and adhering it to the cover! I used Martha Stewart micro beads for added impact on the numbers

Isn't it amazing how different treatments can make the same products look so DIFFERENT and so FABULOUS!!!!

Be sure to head back here on wednesday for another new technique and then I will be back Friday with some more new scrummy layouts and Scrapware products to share.
