Welcome to the Dark Side!

I think I have been watching Twilight to much.
The girls I monthly crop with call me the Goth Girl
and say my scrapping is on the dark side.
Not sure about me ??? but with most of my layouts
I can often understand the term.
Satin, beads, Prima stems and 7 Gypsies paper& d/magic.
Scrapware Chip Title:
Az 03-Impact lower case ( My God I just can't get enough of this alpha) -LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
Az 06 - Retro lower case alpha

I think most of my layouts just have to include the impact alpha as the size is just perfect!!!!!

NONE The WISER!!!

They say the older you get the wiser you get????
Well I just added another number to the age and certainly don't feel wiser or smarter or, or, or.

Maybe when you see my layouts here you might just say I'm heading a little more on the Insanity side.
T & C (Tarquinn and Connaugh)
As usuall it's all Fabric!
Layers of Vintage lace, satin, Tulle & Brocade-curtain fabric.
Title -Antique Upper case
Large and small vines. Painted + Glimmer mist, Shimmerz & inked

Here's my version of clean and simple?
Autumn Joy.
Layers of Chocolate satin and an overlay underneath for dimension!
Title -Antiue Upper and Lower Case.
Painted, G/mist +inked. Covered in Dim/magic.
To get the weathered - multi colours through title Alpha I have removed the Dim/magic when tacky. (place on piece of paper face down press hard, lift off and then rub remainder of DM off.)Ch141 Fern -Medium. Painted + Glimmer mist & Dimensional Magic.DD08 12" Frame -Just a small Piece used for scallop base.

Hope you like them - XO. G.

There's a First time for everything!

Yes! O.k. so I'm new and this is my first DT/official blog post! YIPYIP! Yippee!
Here's a layout I have been working on -for what seems like forever.
As in all my layouts it's all about fabric, texture and stitching.(and far too many pricks in the finger with a needle).

The edge is KDD Plant frame 12' > cut up. painted, inked, gl/mist and diamond glazed.
The Back square section is CH300 12' overlay 5x5 > covered in chocolate silk.
As for The Stitched vine and flowers I was totally inspired by the stunning CH67 Blossom Vine but done my way.
The Photo was taken by Karen Simons - she's an awesome photographer here in Melbourne.

Come on down Geraldine...

A big welcome to new DT member Geraldine Pasinati! We are thrilled to have Geraldine join our team and I'm excited to see what she has in store for us... Here's what Geraldine had to say to our questions:

When I was a child I slept through 90% the day - maybe that's why I have plenty of dreams for the future.
I never thought I would be a Chef - maybe because now I hate cooking!
When I grow up I want to be...I haven't really grown up yet so ask me again when I get to 90!
My guilty addiction is... Minties and fabric & cotton (love Spotlight)
If I could be anywhere I would be ....somewhere lost in the Veneto region.
My Style is.... predominantly I call it Scrapquilting but occasionally/rarely I do a shabby chic style of scrapping.
When I create, I have to have.... Minties and cotton to hand sew a layout!

Here are a couple of Geraldine's latest creations:
