We Love butterflies

Hi, This Monday's blog post is about Butterflies,
Everyone loves them and really what's not to like.
These are some of the butterflies which we have in Scrapware.
The first layout is by the very creative Georgia,
she has used: LW15- Butterfly Flourish and CH324 Antique Mini Frames,
What I love about this Layout is Georgia has cut the flourish part of the back of the butterflies and then used the flourish as a template for hand stitching, what a great idea.

In this photo you can see the hand stitching.

The second layout is by wonderful Natalie,
She used: CH313-Butterflies and AZ08-Antique Lowercase Alphas.
Natalie has inked then embossed her butterflies with clear embossing powder, then added a touch of Glimmer Mist to the butterflies to give them an aged look, and then to finish the layout off Natalie has mounted the butterflies with foam tape which gives the layout more dimension.

And lastly I made these cute 3D Butterflies for my daughter's bedroom wall.
I used CH309-3D butterflies Large.
To create these butterflies cover the base of the butterfly in patterned paper, then paint the wings and the edges of the butterflies with some white Gesso, then using PVA glue stick some fabric mesh to the wings to give the butterflies a soften look, then attached the wings to the base of the butterfly with PVA glue or a hot glue gun, to add some glitter use some Kindy Glitz on the wings of the butterflies and lastly add some pins to the top of the butterflies to create some feelers.

I hope you enjoyed having a look at some of the Butterflies which we have at Scrapware.
I will be doing a step by step how to use Frinkles (very small beads) on your chipboard durning the week, so please make sure you drop in.
Thanks Gilly ox
