Vintage style!

Hi everyone, Hetty here. I am so excited to be doing my first ever blog post for Scrapware, just love creating with their chipboard.

Today I will be showing you all things vintage and wait until you see what the rest of the DT have come up with......very talented girls I can tell you.

For this occasion I decided to use a very whimsical photo of one of my girls as I don't really have any old vintage photos.
I used 3 pieces of Scrapware chippie on this layout. First is the CH341 Do-Hicky7, second is the CH 80 Fence and thirdly is the LB17 Hinges. All pieces are covered in StazOn metallic gold ink.

Next up is this gorgeous layout by the very talented Taryn.

Here is what Taryn had to say about her layout:

To create a vintage look, I decided to try some of the new ranger embossing puffs in white.

To create this look, I started by applying a coat of coffee shop brown glimmermist to each piece. Once dry, I used versamark to apply the white puff embossing powder. Before applying heat to set the embossing powder, I used a stylus to etch a pattern on each piece, gently scratching away small sections to reveal the chipboard below, and then set it with my heat tool. I love this antique, peeled paint look.

I have used a brass coloured embossing powder for the backing plate of the mini antique frame.

I have embossed the alphas using pale green embossing powder.

CH325 Geraldine Gate Large
CH324 Antique Mini Frames
AZ10 Mini Antique Lowercase Alphas
Thanks heaps Taryn for sharing this gorgeous vintage layout.

Next is Natalie with this beauty.
CH326 Geraldine Gate Small

CH05 Chipboard Flourish 2
LB20 Flourish Corners Small
AZ06 Retro Lowercase Alphas

Ok ... The gate was inked with Glimmermist and Smooch as were the alphas, the corner and the flourish. I ran the flourish thru the Cuttlebug and coated the alphas in Dimensional Magic!

Thanks heaps Natalie for sharing this stunning layout!

Hope you all enjoyed the different styles and techniques used!

Will be back tomorrow with some more gorgeous creations from the talented ladies on the Scrapware DT!!
