It's a week of Christmas projects here at Scrapware! To be honest I can't even believe we are in December ... and I wasn't feeling at all Christmassy .... not until I pulled out some Christmas papers and Christmas goodies from my Scrapware stash and did a few Christmas projects for this week's posts. Now I am right in the Christmas spirit and will be putting up our tree tonight (I know, I am a little late, lol!).
The first project I have to share with you this week is a Tile Christmas frame ... something special to hang in the house each Christmas season.

I loved making this project. I started by painting the Twinchie Overlay with white Gesso, followed by a touch of cream paint and then Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam "Organic Garden". I have then added gold Rub n Buff to give it a real rustic feel. I have then painted all my chipboard embellishment pieces (listed below) with cream paint and added Rub n Buff to some pieces and Distress Stickles (Antique Linen) to some. The chipboard tile pieces are covered with paper from the Making Memories "Noel" range, with the addition of some Christmassy fabric pieces and Scraptivate German Scrap. Put it all together and back it on to a piece of cardstock and voila, a fabulous Christmassy piece to hang or display on an easel! Here is a list of the Scrapware pieces used:
I have also made quite a few cards this year using Scrapware chipboard. Some of the smaller Christmassy pieces are perfect for adorning Christmas cards with. Here's one I made ...

The Scrapware tree on this card is covered with Webster's papers. I like to bend the chipboard along the edge of a table to give it a rounded look. The holly has just been painted white and adorned with some clear beads at the top and adhered to the tree. As the tree has been rounded to give it dimension it is best to use Helmar Scrap Dots or foam tape to mount on to the front of the card.
Here are the chipboard pieces used on this card:

For our Christmas theme this week Bridgette has done this great Christmassy layout ....

Bridgette has used the negative from the NC02 Stylised Trees Large and traced the tree shape on to White Correboard (CBW1). Using a sharp craft knife Bridgette has cut out the tree shapes and then with Glimmer Mist. The Mini Stars (MI12) are coloured using a shimmer paint and adhered to the trees. The "Cheeky" word (WD163) has Jo Sonja black texture paste spread over the top. The word "elves" is created using the Correboard Alphas (AZ13) which have been inked with umber ink around the edges to give them more definition.
Check back tommorrow as I will be sharing another card I have created and I will be sharing more Christmassy projects later this week so stay tuned!
