buttons!

Hi Everyone, it's my turn to host and this week the design team have been playing with buttons... I love the scrapware buttons because they are so versatile, there are so many ways you can use them.
Lisa has used the square buttons (BS 12) to create a gorgeous bunting across her page..

Lisa has painted all the buttons the one colour and layered a different flower under each one, adding so much dimension and interest.

Lou has inked the buttons from the button heart card (BS 10) as well as some swallows (CH 329) and steelfish lowercase alphas (AZ 02) using versa mark metallic inks.

For something a little different Lou has punched 2 holes in the larger swallow to make it look like a button - what a fabulous idea!

This would work with any of the smaller shapes with a solid centre as well...

When I was doing this page I couldn't get it to look quite finished so I decided to add some square buttons (CH BS12) to tie it all together. I've simply inked the edges with versa mark pinecone ink and then stitched them to my page using different colours of DMC thread.

The bird is one of the new chunkychicks (CH 320), isn't he adorable?

Kim decided to make a card this week using buttons from the round button card (BS 13). Kim has used smooch inks to colour the buttons then put them in a row to make a quick but very effective card.

I hope we've inspired you to get out your chipboard buttons and have a go - don't forget to post your creations to the scrapware gallery!
